Marble Peaks Ranch cultivates our Corriedale fleeces for discriminating customers for use in spinning, knitting, weaving, and felting. We selectively breed for wool with true Corriedale breed character - bold consistent crimp, distinct rectangular staples, and a beautiful luster. These qualities have been enhanced with input from Australian genetics. We also have some lovely finer fleeces from Corriedale x Merino cross sheep.
At Marble Peaks Ranch our sheep wear coats throughout the entire year to keep their wool extremely clean and reduce sun bleaching and drying of the wool. Our fleeces are skirted heavily, discarding all the low grade or contaminated wool (no hay, no manure, no tags, no belly wool). Marble Peaks Ranch produces both white and natural colored Corriedale wool. Our natural colors range from true blacks to charcoal to shades of gray. The premium fleeces have distinct and uniform crimp, noticeable luster, a long staple, and a very soft handle. Whole fleece weights average 5 to 9 pounds. Half fleeces are also offered. Our fleeces are priced in proportion to their quality. Premium show-quality wool starts at $30 per pound. Superior-quality fleeces range from $20 to $30 per pound. Value fleeces are $12 to $19 per pound.

Sincerely hoping our 2022 fleeces will be ready for sale by the end of September! We are prioritizing selling sheep at this time as the drought has left us with no grass and we have to feed expensive alfalfa hay. Our fleece sales are conducted on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/marblepeaks.ranch/. Sale listings include photos of the whole fleece, description of crimp, handle, staple length, weight, and price. Many of the 2022 fleeces have been split in half in response to customer requests. Fleeces are shipped domestically using the lowest cost shipping service, and internationally via the US Postal Service. We accept payment by PayPal.
